Ingredients
  

  • Moong Dal: 1 cup Soaked for 3-4 hours or boiled slightly
  • Cucumber: 1/2 cup Finely chopped
  • Tomato: 1/2 cup Deseeded and chopped
  • Onion: 1/4 cup Finely chopped
  • Green Chili: 1 Finely chopped - optional
  • Fresh Coriander: 2 tbsp Chopped
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
  • Chat Masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Black Salt / Regular Salt: To taste
  • Roasted Peanuts: 1 tbsp For extra crunch

Method
 

  1. Preparation:
  2. Take the soaked moong dal. If you prefer it soft, you can steam it for 5 minutes, but for a crunchy salad, raw soaked dal is best.
  3. Mixing:
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the moong dal, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, and onions.
  5. Seasoning:
  6. Add the finely chopped green chili, chat masala, and salt.
  7. Tangy Twist:
  8. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mixture and toss everything together gently.
  9. Garnish:
  10. Top it with fresh coriander leaves and roasted peanuts for that perfect crunch.
  11. Serve:
  12. Serve immediately for the best taste and freshness.
